After world war two the club affiliated with the Kyabram District Football Association, precursor of today’s Kyabram District Football League, and for the better part of four decades it was a similar story, with losing grand finals in 1974 and 1992 the closest the seniors came to procuring a flag. Since achieving the big breakthrough with a first ever premiership in 1993, however, the Cats have consistently featured among the competition’s pace setters. Between 1992 and 2008 they contested a total of nine senior grade grand finals for five wins. The last three seasons have produced a hat trick of grand final clashes with Stanhope, comprising a 2 point triumph in 2006 followed by successive hefty losses in 2007-8. The reserves have also enjoyed recent premiership success, downing Tallygaroopna by 14 points in the 2006 grand final. Where now? or
