The Bulldogs have been ever-present participants in the Top End Australian Football Association and its precursor competitions the Northern Territory Football Association (1982 to 2000) and the Northern Territory Football League C Grade (1978 to 1982). Their A Grade side has so far contested a total of twenty-two grand finals, nine of which have been won. University shares Banks’ record of nine senior grade flags but has only reached the grand final twelve times. The Bulldogs’ B Grade team has also experienced its share of success, claiming a competition record five premierships from thirteen grand finals.
