CENTRAL UNITED

Current Affiliation: South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL) since 1995

Home Ground: Moffin Reserve

Formed: 1962 as Central Juniors Football Club; changed name to Central United when a senior team was formed in 1978

Colours: Blue, red and white

Emblem: Bulldogs

Senior SAAFL Premierships: Division Six - 2006 (1 total)

Although the Bulldogs have only won a total of four senior grade premierships they can boast the impressive distinction of having claimed two of them unbeaten. The first was in 1980, in the old Central Districts Football Association, while the second was the club’s most recent, secured via a 21.8 (134) to 12.9 (81) defeat of Greenacres in the SAAFL division six grand final of 2006. This latter triumph earned the Bulldogs promotion to division five, but there stay in the higher grade only lasted two years as they finished the 2008 season in last place.
